

About Our Department
Abdul Kalam Institute of Technological Science’s Department of Mining Engineering was established in 2007 with the support of the All-India Council of Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi, and is affiliated with JNTU, Hyderabad, Telangana. Twenty B. Tech graduates from the first class of students graduated in 2011, and there are currently 60 B. Tech students enrolled in the undergraduate programme, which is authorised.
Utilizing the best mining engineering colleges’ well-developed infrastructure for technical education, the department created a contemporary mining engineering curriculum in India.
Strength of the Department
The department has been a leader in developing the curriculum for a variety of courses over the years, including Strength of Materials, Fluid Mechanics and Hydraulic Machinery, Surveying and Modern Surveying Techniques, Rock Mechanics and Geomechanics, Mineral Processing, Numerical Methods, Geostatistics, GIS & Remote sensing, GPS, Reliability and Quality Engineering, Safety Engineering, Environmental Science and Technology, Industrial Management, and Computer Programming and Network Applications.
